I cut apart one of my work sweaters, which was covered all over with paint and collaged part of the material onto a solid MDF board. I then worked on the surface in many steps and finally painted it with deep black (acrylic paint) and protected it with a satin gloss varnish.

I worked in many layers of paint to create an intriguing and jagged three-dimensional surface structure that radiates a mysterious depth. Red nunaces of a deeper level of paint flash through, giving the artwork warmth and enlivening it.

The oversized depth of the canvas (7,5 cm) gives this artwork an outstanding presence - and makes it look almost like a design object.
