While painting this piece I was aiming for a playful feeling of lightness, something like flying and being free - as dandelion seeds in the wind. While creating this artwork my goal was to put in as much power and love as I could.  So first I created the base texture with marble powder, which builds exciting cracks while drying. Then many layers of different shades of red (acrylic paint) together with a bit of cheeky pink and light blue joined in to cheer up things.

Don't we all sometimes need a 'favorable wind'? A feeling of support and 'being carried'? I had these feelings when creating this painting and I hope I succeeded in creating an abstract, that inspires.

In this abstract and expressive artwork I wanted to take a symbolic dive into the depths of my unconscious in order to draw strength and make exciting, perhaps unexpected discoveries.

Fresh turquoise blue, prussian blue and white were combined with powerful brushstrokes. A fascinating, almost three-dimensional texture shines partially through, giving the artwork something mysterious and special.

I fused fiery chrome oxide green with slightly cooler blue-green, delicate yellow-greeen, shades of gray, white and some fresh pink in a dynamic way on the canvas to give a bursting, powerful energy.

I painted this artwork after a calming and relaxing holiday at the Côte d'Opale in France.

Even if I don't plan my paintings consciously I guess my subconscious was so inspired by the colors of water, nature and sky that I wanted to express the deep serenity and peace of mind I felt during that time over there.

So this artwork transports a beautiful calmness through colors and impressionistic painting style and is at the same time very rich in details which invite to contemplate and breath in the depth and serenity.

A lot of noble and minimalist-looking prussian blue phthalo was complemented by  some real, gently sparkling gold leaf (23.75 carat), which makes this artwork something very special.

The little things that often make a big difference in live are often overlooked.

So in this artwork I wanted to focus on such 'little things' and give them a possibility to shine.
